MARAUDER SOFTBALL'S AMAZING SEASON ENDS AT THE HANDS OF MT. SAC

WALNUT - Certainly the Marauder softball team didn't want its season to end.
Especially not this way.
Unfortunately, a few costly mistakes when the Marauders needed a play hurt them as they were ousted out of the CCCAA Super Regionals, with a tough 8-4 loss to host Mt. SAC, Sunday afternoon.
It wasn't as though AVC was outplayed, but five errors against one of the top teams in the state, certainly crippled the Marauders.
AVC got three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and led 4-2 entering the top of the fifth before things began to unravel.
The Mounties definitely capitalized off AVC miscues to out score the Marauders 6-0, the final three innings.
"I'll miss the camaraderie of this team, the atmosphere, the coaches who were amazing and the people," said Dolly Stevens, who hit her state-leading 24th home run of the season in the bottom of the first inning to tie the score, 1-1.
