MOJICA, FLETES TOP FOUR NAMED TO ALL-WESTERN STATE SOUTH MEN'S SOCCER TEAM

Four Marauder Men's Soccer players earned spots on the All-Western State South Teams, it has been announced. The Marauders ended the season 9-10-2 overall, 4-5-1 and fourth in the Western State South.
Jose Mojica and Matthew Fletes were named First Team. Mojica, last season's WSS MVP, led the conference and Marauders again in scoring with 11 goals and five assists. He ends his AVC tenure with 31 goals and 11 assists. Fletes scored one goal and recorded on assist in 2017.
Gerson Alvarenga, who scored a goal and had three assists, and Vince Lewis, who was second in goals for AVC with four on the season were named to the Second Team.
All four are sophomores.
Two Freshmen were named Honorable Mention - Cameron Taylor who was second in scoring for the Marauders in 2017 with three goals and three assists and Angel Macario.
