Marauder Men's golf hosted their only home event of the season this week at Antelope Valley Country Club. There were a total of 12 golfers in the field between Antelope Valley College and Ventura College.
AVC's Derrick Rossmango led the Marauders shooting a 75, which was good enough to place him tied for third overall on the day. "Derrick has been putting in a lot of time working on his game. He's making great decisions on the course, and I'm happy to see him get positive results today." said head coach Brad Hazard.
The rest of the field remained several shots behind the leader Evan Colborn, who shot a 71 for Ventura. AVC lost to Ventura as a team but will look to bounce back on Monday in Riverside at Canyon Crest Country Club.
Coach Hazard was disappointed with the team's score but was happy to see the guys on the course competing again and looks forward to them improving next week.
