VICTORVILLE - Osi Nwachukwu and Greg Floyd each collected a double-double to help lead the Marauder men's basketball team to a 76-69 victory over Victor Valley, Saturday at Victor Valley College.
Nwachukwu finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds and Floyd came off the bench to score 15 points and grab 13 rebounds.
The victory sets up a potential conference championship game with Citrus on Wednesday at Marauder Gymnasium.
"It was a big game for us. We were just so focused. We haven't been this focused all season," Nwachukwu said. "We're going to have to come like this next game. We executed and we stayed poised all game. We played pretty good defense. (On Wednesday) we have to come out as focused as we did today."
Citrus holds a one-game lead on the Marauders and defeated AVC earlier this season.
D'Mauria Jones led the Marauders with 18 points.
