A standout Quartz Hill High School alumnus, Davon Dayday Jones built a legacy as one of the school’s most dynamic two-way players. As a sophomore, he earned All-League honors at defensive back, followed by All-CIF recognition as a junior. His senior season was one for the record books. He was an All-League DB and All-CIF wide receiver, hauling in 78 receptions for 1,002 yards and 18 total touchdowns, making him the only 1,000-yard receiver in Quartz Hill history.
Continuing his dominance at the junior college level, he earned All-Conference and All-State honors, totaling 1,557 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also tied the school record for four touchdowns in a single game, a feat shared with Jordan Wayne and Carlos Hill.
His success led to a scholarship at Robert Morris University, where he pursued his football career until a season-ending injury. Off the field, he excelled academically, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and later a Master of Science in Sports Management from California Lutheran University.
