Bio

Chad Shrout was born in Indianapolis Indiana and raised in Lancaster, CA. As a prep athlete, Coach Shrout attended Antelope Valley High School. Following a very successful prep career, he earned an Athletic Scholarship as a punter to the University of Hawaii. At the University of Hawaii, Shrout earned All-Western Athletic Conference honors and was selected as a Preseason All-American in his Junior year. Following a stellar collegiate career, Coach Shrout earned an XFL contract as a punter.

Coach Shrout’s career as a signal-caller began in the Spring of 2000 as a Student Assistant with The University of Hawaii Football team. After graduating from The University of Hawaii, Shrout spent three seasons as an Assistant Football Coach at Antelope Valley High School. After winning the Golden League multiple times, Coach Shrout decided he wanted to join the college ranks.  In 2004 Shrout began coaching the Defensive Line at AVC as well as coordinating the Special Teams for the Marauders.

He briefly left Antelope Valley College in 2006 to become the Head Football Coach at Lancaster High School while also teaching for the Antelope Valley Union High School District. After five years of being a Head Coach, Shrout returned to Antelope Valley College in 2011 to coach the Defensive Line while coordinating the Special Teams.

Along with coaching at AVC, Coach Shrout continues his career as an educator at Lancaster High School. Coach Shrout has earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in American Studies as well as two Master's Degrees from Azusa Pacific University including a Master's of Science in Physical Education and a Master’s of Arts in Educational Leadership.

Shrout has been married since 2003 to his wife Mandi and they have three children, Hailey, Bella, and Hunter.
