VICTORVILLE - The Marauder baseball team got its first Western State Conference victory of the season as it got back to its winning ways with a 10-6 victory against Victor Valley.
AVC opened its conference season by losing it first three games, two coming in extra innings, however, with a little help from Eddie Marcotte and Kyle Lathrop the Marauders were able to get the won.
Marcotte hit his third home run of the season and collected a pair of RBI. Lathrop finished the game 2-for-5 with two RBI and one run scored. Ethan Avant, Jorge Villalobos and Blake Leidholdt each had a pair of hits for AVC.
The Marauders trailed 4-1 entering the top of the seventh inning but rallied to score five runs in that inning and four more in the eighth to take control of the game.
