GLENDORA - Both teams combined for only 12 hits and in the end Citrus walked away with a 2-1 victory over the Marauder baseball team, Saturday afternoon at Citrus College.
AVC's (6-12, 0-2) Griffin Hagen was solid on the mound as he pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing only two runs and six hits, while striking out six.
Both of the runs scored by the Owls (10-7-1, 2-0) came in the third inning following a double, RBI single and two wild pitches which allowed the second run to cross the plate.
Anthony Parisi was 2-for-4 with the lone run scored by the Marauders.
